ADAD Zoom Training: LGB&T Cultural Humility
Description: This SAMHSA training was developed to provide practitioners and administrators familiarity and knowledge about the interaction between LGBT issues and substance use disorders. The curriculum offers skill-building knowledge enhancing practical abilities to offer sensitive, affirmative, culturally relevant, and effective treatment to LGBT individuals in substance use disorders treatment.

Facilitator: Kunane Dreier, LGBT Program & Training Manager. Kunane is a leader within the LGTBQI Community providing ongoing cultural competency & humility trainings to service providers. Kunane currently is the LGB&T Program & Training manager at the Hawaii Health & Harm Reduction Center. He is an experienced trainer in the areas of harm reduction, HIV & HCV testing & counseling and other various prevention interventions & strategies. Kunane has been working in this field since 2001.
Target Audience: Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC), other ADAD professional credential (CCJP, CSAPA, CCS, CPS) and applicants.
