Overview:
The purpose of the session is to gain an understanding of ethical guidelines. Participants will be better equipped to resolve ethical dilemmas in Substance abuse and Mental Health field.
Facilitator:
Isaiah M. Moreno, PsyD, MFT, CSACDr. Isaiah Moreno is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, and currently works in a group practice called Ho'oko, LLC in Waipahu, Hawaii. He has been providing therapeutic services for over 12 years and has been working with individuals and couples dealing with a range of adjustment and mental health issues. He has worked at various substance use facilities, community mental health centers, and was the previous Chief Psychologist at the Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC). In addition, he has provided education and training for counselors as a past faculty member at Argosy University, and as an ADAD trainer for the last two years. Dr. Moreno specializes in substance use treatment modalities, therapeutic assessments, and ethical behavior in clinical practice.
Target Audience:
Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC), and all applicants, those with other ADAD professional credential (CCJP, CSAPA, CCS).
