Overview:
The purpose of this training is to introduce Family Systems Theories. The presenter will discuss various approaches, skills and techniques used in effectively working with families (dual parent household, single parent, traditional and non-traditional parenting). Participants will be introduced to various tools and skills and be able to identify valuable characteristics to effectively help families. This is an interactive training.
Participants:
Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC), Certified Prevention Specialists (CPS), and applicants; those with other ADAD professional credentials; and anyone involved in the human services field.
Facilitator:
Jessica Torralva, LMHC, NCC. Jessica has extensive experience in the Human Services Field working as a supervisor for an evidenced-based treatment program. Jessica is the Area Chair for the Social Sciences program at a private college. Jessica is also currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology.
