Community Engagement Webinars (Two-Session)
Learning Objectives:
- Explore a framework for community participation in prevention
- Identify who you want to engage in which prevention efforts
- Brainstorm ways to engage them during COVID-19 restrictions
- Develop your community engagement plan

Continuing Education (CEs): This course provides 4 hours of continuing education credits for Certified Prevention Specialist and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor credentials.

Targeted Audience: Registration is restricted to 2-3 seats per each PFS subrecipient, until all 30 seats are filled. County coordination teams, community coalitions, and evidence-based programs are all welcomed to join. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation with the Zoom link for the event. Materials for this workshop will be distributed two days prior to the training date. Participants must have access to Zoom and use audio and video to join the event. This workshop has been designed to be highly interactive in order to build off the depth of knowledge and experience so many of you have. Participants must attend both training days to receive their Certificate of Completion.
Trainer Information: Pam Tindall, C.P.P., has dedicated her career to the field of substance abuse prevention, consulting in all 50 U.S. states and across urban, rural, frontier, Alaska Native, American Indian, and Pacific Island communities. Her range of work has included community substance abuse prevention program development, strategic planning, evaluation, prevention workforce development, K-12 prevention education and student assistance, school drop-out prevention,
and inpatient and outpatient drug treatment. She is a certified prevention professional.
